Like A Regular Homo Sapien

by Miranda on February 7, 2013

It’s been clear since Emma’s swift entrance into the world that she would be a mover and a shaker. Places to go, people to see, buckets of toys to dump in the floor.

And then last week she took a tentative step or two and my stomach did flipflops of excitement and nerves. Because, guys, she’s walking.

Walk. Ing. Like a real person. (And I was here to see it!)

She just kept taking more and more steps adding one or two steps onto one or two steps until she was going the length of the kitchen or the living room rug. Or from the corner of the train table to the chair. Or wherever she damn well pleases now, I guess.

I’m a proud Mama.

And also a little scared for my life now that I have two children who can go in opposite directions.

But mostly my heart is just full.

I tried to jump up and catch her at the end!
Woah…. two children… opposite directions…. I never thought of that!

Go Emma!! So cool!
I think both mine won’t be far behind Emma. Zach likes to stand now more than sit or God-forbid make him crawl {he can do it, just doesn’t like to}. Lucy girl just doesnt like being still. I think it’ll be awesome, yet I also kinda dread the day they’re running in opposite directions!
